What a party!!!
Huge THANK YOU to all those who joined me and Vannessa to celebrate our 40th Birthday Party.
It far exceeded our expectations and was everything we originally planned it to be. We have discovered once again that we have good friends who will go out of their comfort zone to make dreams come true, a rare quality to find in people.
With permission (and some bribery) we will be posting some pics of the party here. Watch this space!!

2 days
Nearly party time! Are you all ready??
Some info re the paints. We have sourced paints from a variety of places, some cheap and others pricy. We have all the primary colours ie red, blue, yellow, green, black, white, also some gold. I need to stock up on more brown and I think more black. If there is a specific colour which you need please let us know in the comments.
So far we have 37 people attending of which about 22 have said they need paint. Of those about 6 have indicated what colours they need. So the rest of you will have to take pot luck and see what you can find. We will have some pictures available with designs if you need inspiration.
As mentioned professional bodypainters are too expensive so we will just paint each other. We have a few quite good artists amongst us who have offered their services. I think just the painting will be a lot of fun.
I have a few bits and pieces which can be used as accessories ie hats, wigs, glitter, etc.
We will be providing a watermelon punch and some beers and ciders and cooldrinks. Otherwise you must bring your own drinks. If you feel like it you can bring a bottle of champagne as well. Snacks will be provided and boerie rolls for later if you are still peckish. If you like you can bring some chips.
And if anyone has any good music DVDs please bring them along if you don't mind else we will be dancing to the Eighties and Queen all evening!

Many, Many Questions
Q: Invite says to bring overalls, Why?
A: Overalls is my why of saying bring clothes to change into later.
Q: Must we come fully Body Painted?
A: No, but at least must join in the fun with a face paint.
Q: Can we come already apinted?
A: Yes, Coming already painted will be better.
Q: Can we get painted at the party?
A: Yes, but there will be a time limit with the painters depending on the people needing to be painted.
Q: Who will be doing the body painting?
A: We are hoping to have a few painters but still need to confirm how many.

Party Play List & Invite
Added a link to my YouTube Play list which I am planning to play at the party as the music for the night. So if you want to hear your favourite tracks please send me the YouTube link and I'll add it to the list. If anybody knows if it is possible to create a YouTube play list that can be updated please let me know.
Last night I finally completed the invite which we'll be sending out over the next few days. So if you can RSVP via the Guest list on this blog, send me an e-mail or SMS me with your details ASAP. We need to know how many bodies will need to be painted. Obviously the same rules apply as in the past, having friends over the weekend is no excuse, you can bring them along.
Keep checking this blog and the RSVP list for additional info we might require. For example I'm going to need to loan a few outdoor heaters. We don't want to crack the paint now do we?
Less than 30 days so best you get practising your painting.

RSVP / Guest List
"Répondez s'il vous plaît", a French phrase that translates to "Please respond". It is with this meaning that invitation cards and similar documents are often marked with "R.S.V.P.". (In this case a blog)
I have combined the Guest List with the R.S.V.P list thus giving me less work in drawing up a guest list and asking questions required due to the complications caused by the human evolution. The number of guests attending this party, paint requirements, eating needs, sleeping needs, transport needs, comment and concerns; we need to know way before the party is going to be very important.
So, please resist against your Human Nature to RSVP the night before and add your name NOW to the RSVP / Guest List by clicking on the buttons below OR on the right hand side of this page.
There will probably be more questions as we go along but these I will e-mail to the people that have already added their names to the Guest List. Obviously there will be some people that wish their comments or concerns to be anonymous so I'll will make sure those are not displayed to the public.
Any suggestions to the Blog or Guest List are always welcome.
